Michael Story was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was meek, loving, patient and kind. He always had a genuine smile on his face, and his sweet presence would enlighten any room.
He truly displayed the character of Jesus whom he loved and served by loving everyone around him, especially his clients of all ages at Everyone's Counseling Center.
Mike is an example of a life well lived. He was a proud veteran. Among other things, throughout his life, Mike worked as a career counselor, in Casualty Assistance Calls office with the Navy, Red Cross, and the Navy and Marine Corp Relief Society. He also served as an instructor for deputies and civilians with the Orange County Sheriff's Office; he was a certified Victim Services Practitioner. He has worked at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Families in the Sexual Trauma Recovery Center. He became a Critical Incident Stress Management and Debriefing Team Mental Health Counselor for the Sheriff's Office. He was the program director of 36 boys in residential foster care. We will miss him tremendously and will miss the cheese and spinach quiches he made with the eggs of the chickens he raised; and daily jokes he made sure to share with everyone he came in contact with. Romans 28 & 29: and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God fore-knew he also planned to be conformed to the likeness of his Son that he might be the first-born among many others.
Michael, I am so grateful to have known you. Your love and your faith are a gift I will always treasure. I miss you, my friend.

Mike was my counselor, mentor, best friend, and father figure. I feel truly blessed to have had such an amazing Christ centered man guide me through the turmoils of my life, to have always been there for me regardless, and to continually point my eyes towards the Lord.
My heart is crushed knowing that I will not be able to see or talk to my dearest friend again, this side of heaven.
I love you and miss you Mike, and ALWAYS will!

Mike was a dear friend and fellow Navy veteran and Model A's of Greater Orlando Members. We were also brothers in Christ. He will be sorely missed. Judy and family I am so sorry for your loss.
"Eternal Father strong to save,
Whose arms hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
And when at length his course is run,
His work for home and country done,
Hear from heaven our sailors cry,
And grant eternal life on high!

Papa was a kind and loving family man of God. He was a great role model in many ways. He was smart, personable and sentimental. Papa was really good at multitasking and entertaining the grand kids and the great grand kids. There wasn’t nothing he couldn’t fix. I’m so grateful he was apart of my life and he will be missed dearly.
Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Michael. He was a Godsend to our family, and we will always cherish his words of wisdom, spirituality, and support. We were blessed to have known such an amazing man. He will be missed terribly. Rest in Paradise, Michael. You are so loved.

I worked with Mike during a brieft stint I had at the Orange County Sheriff's Office Training Section. I recall his easy going manner and insight into human behavior to be quite comforting. My heart (and prayers) go out to his family.
