    Dad,

You will surely be missed in many ways. You had a presence that was always one of confidence when you entered a room. Thank you for my greatest gifts, for without you I would not have my beautiful wife and my children.... A gift I can only repay by continuing to love them.
    Much love
    Your Son in law.

    Jim

We at the 101st Airborne Division Vietnam Veterans organization extend our deepest sympathies to Catherine and the entire family of Edward Carter. Ed was a faithful member of our group and he will be missed. I last spoke to him at our annual gathering at Wickham Park in Melbourne just this past May. I'm sorry that I cannot personally be there with you for the service but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
